In 2009, Dr. Lopez was accepted to the University of Central Florida, where she then graduated with her bachelor’s degree in microbiology and molecular biology. From there, she went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Florida, College of Dentistry. Her persistence and patience are her top strengths and ultimately got her to where she is today. She believes “going into work” to be the best blessing of them all and does not consider it “work” but a career that she genuinely enjoys.
She continues to educate herself in the dental industry by attending continuing education courses with the University of Florida Implant Educators, becoming a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and becoming a certified Invisalign provider.
She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Association of General Dentistry. Dr. Lopez is also active in the community by providing her time to local dental charities and causes.
Dr. Aliuska Lopez is a devoted mother and loves spending time with her family. Living in the Orlando area, she and her family are always out and about spending time with each other, whether at the theme parks or going out to dinner. Although she loves all types of food, especially Cuban food and pastries, the one thing she cannot live without is coffee! Before college, she was never interested in coffee, but with the long, dedicated hours she spent towards forwarding her career in dentistry, she quickly learned that coffee is her new best friend.
Veneers are a permanent cosmetic procedure. They need a thin layer of enamel to be removed from your teeth prior to placement and are bonded to the remaining tooth structure. For this reason, only a trained dental professional can make repairs or adjustments to your veneers.
The lifespan of your veneer depends on the type you choose, and your veneers will eventually need to be repaired or replaced just like any other dental work. Ceramic veneers typically last 10-20 years.
Generally, no. Patients who receive 2-4 veneers typically experience no discomfort. However, patients who receive eight or more veneers may experience some sensitivity or tenderness in the gums. Your dentist will take every precaution during your veneer preparation and administer local anesthetic and sedation as needed to ensure your comfort.
On average, you can expect the process of getting your ceramic veneers to take 3-4 weeks. You’ll visit our office 2-3 times during this time, from your initial consultation to the final fitting and application.
We offer high-quality veneers made from ceramic. Dental ceramic is chosen for its strength, durability, and lifelike appearance.
